Hani Selim General manager, Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah

Hani Selim has taken the reins of Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah and transformed the financial, operational and commercial aspects of the business to deliver record-breaking performances for the property all in the midst of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite the resort being closed for four months, the general manager put the wellbeing of his staff at the forefront and ensured that no full-time staff suffered any job losses. In fact, he made it his personal mission to ensure that the team remained motivated and supported during the crisis whilst far away from their families and uncertain of the future.

Under his leadership, the hotel has achieved the highest GOP in the 10-year history of the property of over 70 percent.

The also hotel achieved its highest ever ADR and went on to surpass the 2021 budget by 75 percent.

This year, the hotel celebrated its 10-year anniversary, and along with his team, he marked the occasion with a series of restaurant and experience redevelopments.
